Pectus
Arcuatum
The origin of this form of deformity has not been fully explained. It is generally characterized by forward displacement and forward protrusion of the sternum as a result of excessive growth of the costal cartilages. This condition usually occurs immediately after birth. The difference from Pectus Carinatum Chondromanubrial prominence is that the upper chest is very hard.
